Hi Dean very interesting video on cons of buying a crash damaged EV (I see no pros thus far). I was wondering though, was your transporter over loaded with a 2.1Tonne vehicle on the back?

There is a possibility of DC arc fault within a certain approach distance - which is unknown as there are no arc flash warning labels. There is both a arc hazard as well as potentially an inhalation hazard for hot plasma. the most dangerous part of the process was replacing the fuse as that was interrupting all of the energy - however it's possible there is another interrupting device in the battery controller.

At first I was under the impression that you were somewhere in the UK. But after watching a few video's, I'm coming to the conclusion that you may live in Australia. But not totally sure, So where you from Mate, I live in Maui Hawaii.

Kinda funny that the connector on the pyro-fuse is skullshaped. They WANT you to kill yourself.

The EV fad is an interesting one, I drove Teslas for a year and found zero driver enjoyment. As for maintenance and repair….id stay well clear of them.

ive worked for a very high end car manufacturer who makes a hybrid hypercar. we had go through extensive hybrid training to work on it. a lot was common sence but there was a lot of very informative things which you wouldn't think of. EV vehicles are incredibly dangerous of you touch or cross something by mistake. people brush this off but you get a charge from one and your dead. SIMPLE. personally I can't stand them. I'll take gas till the end. Good Video mind

Not a fan of ev, however, you've went this far and whilst most of us are combustion heads I think it would be very interesting to see it fixed. I see some ev technicians offering advice here so help is probably available. Fix it and get rid of it. Another string to your bow 😊

EV's are here to stay and even take over eventually. Cars like this will become more and more available in the salvage space so a repair video is a must. I am surprised there isn't a service mode to bypass/make it easier to work on. Looking forward to you finishing this one to see how much of a faff it is. Please continue

Industrial motors usually have a motor brake which can be released and allow free movement. I would assume an EV will have something similar and will save you a lot of hassle if you can find it!
